Delegates will learn how best to support people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and or Learning Difficulties, along with their families. We explore all the challenges that people can face as well as the impact this can have on families, friends and the healthcare staff that support them. Person centred care is at the heart of everything we do at Inspire Training Group. We take a holistic person-centred approach, recognising both the individual and their support circle.

This valuable course explores ASD and LD from multiple angles, especially with an emphasis on early intervention and therapies, which really make a difference in understanding and supporting individuals on the spectrum. The history of ASD also highlights how our understanding of the condition has been shaped by social attitudes and advancements in research.

We discuss the importance of supporting the family and friends of someone with ASD. Families may need guidance on how to navigate challenges and resources for stress management. Support groups or counselling can also be helpful for families to connect and share experiences. Each individual with ASD is unique, so understanding their needs and preferences is critical in providing the best support.

All our training is delivered in line with current legislation and frameworks such as the 2021, Skills for Care funded by the department of health and social care, The Autism Act (2009), the Mental Capacity Act (2005), the Health and Care Act (2022) and many more. The Health and Care Act 2022 introduced a requirement that regulated CQC registered service providers must ensure their staff receive training on learning disability and autism that is appropriate to their role.

Our face to face training is delivered in an approachable yet professional manner for the best experience possible, allowing you to learn comfortably and with confidence. We can offer a full consultation on which training would be required and beneficial for yourself and your team.
